Set up your first PoolParty pool
Connect supported computers you own and choose the models, compute, and storage they offer. Local desktop use does not need a website account. Your Pool, the planned browser workspace, will use a separate account and installed-device approval.
Download the build for your machine and open it. On Windows you will meet an unsigned-app warning first — the download page explains exactly what it says and why.
It starts as a pool of one. That is already useful: your machine, running a private AI with nothing leaving it.
No account. No email address. No card.
Install it on a second machine — the desktop under the desk, the laptop, the old box in the cupboard. The first one shows a join code; you type it into the second.
After pairing, the pool can use models and supported jobs on eligible machines. Each model runs on a compatible computer; separate graphics cards do not combine their memory.
The same ceremony works for a household or a team.
Open the chat and type. The answer identifies the model that answered and explains why the pool selected it, so you can see how the pool handled the request.
Drop a file in and it is sealed before it leaves the machine.
Connect an MCP client or compatible API client supported by your workflow. It can ask models in your pool and use the tools you approve on the machine where they are enabled.
The app prints the exact line for your pool. It carries your own address and your own key, so there is no useful version of it to copy off a web page. Developers wanting the shape of it first can see the developer page.
Provider model onboarding and agent crews are in development.

The Public Pool is not open yet. If it opens, its contribution option is planned to be separate and optional.
