Measure compute on your own pool
PoolParty measures compute used on your own pool. Public Pool contributions and public redemption are planned for a future service; the Public Pool is not open yet. Credits are not money.
Nothing costs money. No card is asked for. The meter runs so that it is honest by the time it matters, and everything below describes how the economy is built — not a bill you are about to get.
Measure compute on your own pool
Public Pool contributions and redemption are planned, but are not available in the beta.
On your own pool
Always goodYour machines are your supply. There is no light, no queue and no gate — you ask, your hardware answers. This is the core product and it never dims. If you never touch the public network, none of the rest of this page applies to you.
On the public network
Not open yetThe Public Pool is not open yet. This section describes the planned use of credits on public capacity; it is not available today.
Check public compute availability
These are the planned availability states. The Public Pool is not open yet, so none of them currently indicates live public capacity.
Capacity available
Start nowIf public supply opens and capacity is available for what you are asking, green will mean you can start — not that a machine is reserved for you for an hour.
Waiting in the queue
In the queueIf public supply opens and is busy, amber will mean your request is queued and its position is shown.
No capacity online
Nothing onlineNo public supply for that capability is available today. The Public Pool is not open yet.
Planned job handling. If a machine leaves partway through, the work resumes or re-queues and you are told. It is never silently dropped and never silently charged.
Possible future queue rules
The Public Pool is not open yet. Whether contribution affects queue order has not been decided for launch. Any queue rules will be published if the service opens.
Queue ordering, contributor priority, and access for people who do not contribute are not available or guaranteed while the service is closed.
Planned credit uses
The Public Pool is not open yet. The following describes proposed future uses.
| Phase | What credits buy | State |
|---|---|---|
| Now | Measurement of compute used on your own pool. Public Pool contributions and redemption are unavailable because the Public Pool is not open yet. | Today |
| Next | Planned: potential access to public batch capacity through selected job templates, if the Public Pool opens. Availability and terms have not been published. | Next |
| Later | Chat and inference on public supply, with prompts encrypted end to end to attested machines and billing taken from attested counts. Opens only after no-plaintext serving is green. | Behind the gate |
Those gates are the same ones on the trust ladder. Nothing here reorders them.
Credits are not money or a payout
Listed rather than left out, because a gate nobody mentions reads as a gate nobody meant.
- No payouts. Credits do not become money.
- No cash-out, no identity checks — because there is nothing to pay out.
- No take rate on anyone’s compute, because no stranger is serving anyone.
- No credits spendable on other people’s websites. That interchange is a later phase.
- No cryptocurrency. Not now, not planned.
Credits are a claim on pool compute, not money. They are spendable when the pool has capacity to spend them on, and your balance tells you which it is. They do not convert to cash.
The full terms are at Credits Terms, in plain words, and the app shows the same sentence beside the switch.
